After 35 years teaching thousands of people to sail out of Marblehead, Capt. Bert Williams is easing into semi retirement.

In 2013, sailing instruction will be limited to private instruction on client's own sailboats. Call 978 369-7601 for an appointment.

Our 1983 Pearson 30' sailboat – Kismet III is for sale. She is a clean, well maintained, well equipped cruising sailboat. The cockpit is comfortable for six. The interior is unusually large for a 30 footer. She's a good choice for day sailing or coastal cruising. A recent survey is available.

If desired, 20 hours of instruction is available in boat handling, navigation, motoring, reefing, or anchoring to the new owner or members of the owner's immediate family.

The boat will be in the water on her Marblehead mooring about June 1, 2013. Prior to that date, the boat can be seen on land in Carlisle, MA.

Coastal Sailing School founder Bert Williams has cruised New England waters for over 50 years. He holds a 100-ton US Coast Guard Masters License. He is an experienced Caribbean charter boat captain, former college Dean, former Salem State University continuing education instructor, and is a Private Pilot.

About 35 years ago he sailed into Marblehead Harbor on a 30' sloop. He loved the town's quaint harbor front so much he stayed and founded Coastal Sailing School. Over the years he's helped thousands of people learn to sail. The focus has always been to provide a superior level of personalized instruction on cruising sailboats.

As Captain Williams transitions to semi-retirement, the group lessons are gone, but personalized private instruction is still available on your boat for you or your crew. Sailboat handling, navigation, docking, reefing – whatever skills might need polishing.
