Skipper's Course

$395/person

20 hours on our Pearson 303 (30')

This is our Basic to Intermediate sailing skills course. It is our core course and is best for most people. All instruction is given on the boat, on the water. Includes sailing theory, points of sail, sail trim, sailing on and off moorings, man overboard drills, tacking, jibing and reefing. Basic chart reading, course plotting, rules of the road, collision avoidance and the buoyage system. You sail the boat right away in the first lesson in all kinds of weather, and perform crew assignments on a rotating basis. If you start with no experience, you should be able to skipper boats of 18' to 24' by the end of the course; and larger boats with additional practice.
